The Saturday Program
Bustin Barriers' newest program it The Saturday Program, a community-based program.
- Each Saturday Program is a half-day program from 9 AM until noon (currently once a month at each site) and serves kids, grades K-12.
- Programs include gym activities and PE-style games as well a quiet space with board games, books, coloring and art activities.
- It's an opportunity for kids to have fun in a safe and supportive environment while their parents/guardians have an opportunity for respite.
In Woodburn, the Saturday Program is a partnership with the Woodburn School District's Special Education Department. Registration occurs through the district's Special Education Dept. and classroom teacher. The Woodburn Saturday Program occurs at Heritage Elementary School. For program details and questions, please contact Andrew Yoshihara, Bustin Barriers' Executive Director at 503-869-7112.
We are currently developing a Saturday Program in the Reynolds School District, scheduled for Fall.
